Job purpose
Manage daily production activities to execute manufacturing plans in line with schedules, targets, costs, and operating procedures.
Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and production priorities to meet output and delivery requirements.
Production operations
- Manage daily activity against approved plans and schedules; allocate work, priorities, manpower, and equipment.
- Monitor output, productivity, and resource use; address delays, bottlenecks, and operational issues.
- Review processes and implement actions to improve efficiency and reduce waste, rework, downtime, and losses.
- Supervise the production team, monitor performance, provide guidance, and identify training needs.
- Coordinate production requirements and readiness with Planning, Engineering, Procurement, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Quality.
- Maintain production records and report progress, delays, constraints, and performance indicators to management.
- Plan and monitor business activities, control budgets and expenses, and take corrective action where needed.
- Develop organizational structures, role descriptions, written systems, procedures, and automation opportunities.
- Maintain quality standards and a safe, secure, and legally compliant work environment.
