Role Description
A Product Growth Manager is responsible for driving user acquisition, activation, retention, engagement, and monetization through product-led growth strategies. This role sits between Product, Marketing, Data, and Engineering, using experimentation and analytics to scale product usage and revenue.
The focus is on finding measurable growth opportunities across the customer lifecycle and turning them into product improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Owning product growth metrics such as acquisition, activation, retention, conversion, and revenue
- Identifying growth opportunities through user behavior analysis and funnel diagnostics
- Running A/B tests and experiments to improve product performance
- Improving onboarding flows, user journeys, and product adoption experiences
- Partnering with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Data teams on growth initiatives
- Building lifecycle strategies for engagement, retention, and reactivation
- Optimizing pricing, upsell, referrals, or monetization levers
- Developing dashboards and reporting on KPIs such as CAC, LTV, churn, conversion rate
- Conducting customer research and using insights to guide growth priorities
- Scaling product-led growth processes and experimentation culture
Qualifications (Must-have)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Economics, or related field
- 4–10+ years of experience in product management, growth, digital marketing, or analytics roles
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- Experience with experimentation, funnel optimization, and growth frameworks
- Understanding of product lifecycle and user behavior metrics
- Strong stakeholder management across Product, Engineering, and Marketing
- Ability to prioritize high-impact opportunities quickly
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with product analytics tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Google Analytics
- Familiarity with experimentation tools such as Optimizely or LaunchDarkly
- Experience with CRM / lifecycle tools such as HubSpot, Braze, or Salesforce
- Background in SaaS, fintech, e-commerce, marketplaces, gaming, or consumer apps
- Strong understanding of SEO, paid acquisition, referral loops, or virality models
- Knowledge of SQL or BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Experience with subscription or freemium monetization models
- MBA or advanced business qualification is a plus
