PRODCUTION INCHARGE (Switchgear)

Role overview

Qualifications

• Degree, diploma, or ITI qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven factory or production-management experience; 3–10+ years is preferred.
• Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning, with strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and quality-management systems, including ISO 9001:2015.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with production software, ERP systems, and MS Office.

Production and team management

• Plan, organize, and control factory operations to meet production schedules; monitor processes and adjust workflow for efficiency.
• Optimize machinery, materials, and manpower and track staff and technician performance.
• Supervise production supervisors, technicians, and workers; train staff and manage performance evaluations, attendance, and discipline.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance planning to reduce breakdowns.

Quality, inventory, and coordination

• Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications; resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance on documentation.
• Monitor raw-material, spare-parts, and finished-goods inventory; reduce waste, control costs, and coordinate procurement.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and collaborate with management, procurement, sales, and logistics.
• Participate in strategic planning and factory-improvement initiatives.
