Responsibilities
- Research suppliers and align procurement strategy with company objectives and budget constraints.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing while maintaining quality standards and long-term supplier relationships.
- Manage procurement from requisition through delivery; track orders and monitor inventory using procurement software.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand needs and support efficiency and project deadlines.
- Evaluate supplier performance and contract and quality compliance; implement corrective action to mitigate risks.
- Maintain key supplier relationships, facilitate communication, and resolve procurement issues.
- Report on purchasing activity, savings, supplier performance, and policy compliance.
- Track industry trends and best practices to improve procurement processes and value.
- Assist with developing and implementing consistent, transparent, and efficient procurement policies and procedures.
Skills and knowledge
- Strong negotiation skills and proficiency in procurement software and order-tracking tools.
- Analytical ability to assess supplier performance and market trends.
- Communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Attention to detail for accurate contracts and procurement documentation.
