Oversee day-to-day purchasing operations and longer-term procurement strategy across the hotel.
Purchasing and operations
- Manage hotel purchasing requirements, accurate purchase orders, records and timely deliveries.
- Work with operating departments on needs and maintain appropriate stock levels while minimizing waste.
- Coordinate supplier orders, deliveries, shortages, quality issues and discrepancies.
- Monitor pricing, availability and quality; support urgent and ad hoc purchasing.
Procurement and commercial strategy
- Develop sourcing and procurement strategies aligned with commercial objectives.
- Identify savings while maintaining or improving quality and service; evaluate suppliers, products and services.
- Negotiate competitive pricing, favorable terms and improved service levels; support tender and quotation processes.
- Review supplier arrangements, develop supplier frameworks, monitor performance and manage procurement risks.
- Consider total cost of ownership and support sustainable and responsible procurement.
Stakeholders and governance
- Build supplier relationships and handle supplier queries and commercial discussions.
- Work with Heads of Department, operational teams and Finance on needs, budgets and supplier arrangements.
- Provide senior leadership with insight into purchasing trends, supplier performance, savings and risks.
- Follow procurement controls; maintain supplier documentation, contracts and records; support reviews, renewals, due diligence and policy implementation.
Candidate profile
- Previous purchasing, procurement or supply-chain management experience; luxury hospitality, hotels or similar high-end environments are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, supplier management and procurement practices.
- Experience negotiating pricing, contracts and supplier commercial terms and managing purchase orders, stock and inventory.
- Strong commercial awareness, organized hands-on working style, and ability to balance operational and strategic priorities.
