Key purpose

Procurement and supply

• Raise long-term purchase orders and short-term scheduling agreements for materials based on SAP planning, promotions, scheduling requests, and commercial information.
• Maintain source lists and request purchasing information records to ensure approved suppliers are used.
• Follow up orders, confirmations, payment problems, and supplier and haulier communications to protect supply continuity.
• Evaluate supplier performance using OTIF and vendor ratings; escalate significant service or volume issues to central purchasing.
• Coordinate missing-material issues and identify alternatives with R&D, production, other plants, and central purchasing.
• Maintain SAP call-off parameters, including lot sizes, lead times, and safety stocks; provide forecasts when requested.

Cost, quality and collaboration

• Optimize material costs through de-complexity proposals, buying long, review of minimum order quantities and lead times, and reducing non-moving or slow-moving stock.
• Manage returns of non-conforming deliveries with suppliers and the quality department.
• Build effective working relationships with suppliers and colleagues across departments and support departmental continuity.

Health, safety and environment

• Promote safe and environmentally responsible working conditions and consult the HSE coordinator when needed.
• Follow HSE procedures, translate relevant risks into work instructions, and check that colleagues understand and follow them.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and dangerous situations and ensure improvement actions are taken.
• Deploy HSE policies and objectives, communicate them, and evaluate HSE performance.
