Procurement Officer
About This Role
Job description
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for construction materials and services.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with project requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure materials meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams for procurement planning.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
- Maintain records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
- Monitor inventory levels and avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE procurement regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any related field.
- 3–4 years of procurement experience in construction or contracting industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and local suppliers in the UAE.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
