Lead procurement activities to achieve cost-effective sourcing, supplier performance, and timely delivery of goods and services.
The role involves end-to-end procurement in a fast-paced project environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage sourcing, tendering, and supplier selection processes.
- Negotiate vendor contracts, pricing, and commercial terms.
- Monitor supplier performance and contractual compliance.
- Find cost savings and optimize value.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to forecast procurement needs.
- Follow company procurement policies and procedures.
- Manage supply disruption and vendor-dependency risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of procurement experience.
- Construction, marine, or oil and gas experience is preferred.
Key competencies
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Experience in international sourcing and contract administration.
- Proficiency in procurement systems.
- Analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic sourcing, commercial acumen, decision-making, and problem-solving.
- Attention to detail, cost control, and ability to manage pressure and multiple priorities.
Pay
- QAR 15,000 per month.
