Manages procurement for facade fabrication at the ALC in-house facade factory.
Connects the design and estimation team with the factory to secure timely, cost-effective, specification-compliant materials.
Vendor sourcing and commercial evaluation
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for aluminum extrusions, glass, sealants, gaskets, hardware, anchors, and facade accessories; maintain the approved vendor list.
- Conduct supplier visits, factory audits, and performance evaluations; diversify vendors and track delivery and quality performance.
- Issue RFQs using technical specifications and BOQs, evaluate quotations, and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Target procurement cost savings of at least 5% versus budget.
Supply chain and coordination
- Coordinate deliveries with factory production schedules; track shipments, customs clearance, and delivery to the factory.
- Mitigate lead-time, logistics, and geopolitical risks and prevent procurement-related production delays.
- Coordinate with estimation, design, quality, factory management, and procurement on BOQs, specifications, inspections, schedules, and processes.
- Prepare weekly management status reports, manage purchase orders and supply contracts, and flag shortages and risks early.
Materials and compliance
- Requires deep knowledge of facade systems, material performance standards, and UAE and international supply chains, including Europe, China, India, and GCC markets.
- Ensure materials meet project specifications, including AAMA, ASTM, and C5-M marine requirements.
- Review material submittals and test certificates; coordinate inspections with the Quality Engineer and manage supplier warranty and quality records.
Pay
- Pay is AED 8,000–10,000 per month.
