Planning Engineer (Exp with High Rise Bldg)

Role overview

Planning and reporting

• Develop and maintain baseline and working schedules; prepare WBS, activities, logic, durations, calendars, and resource requirements.
• Use Primavera P6 or MS Project; update schedules and compare actual progress with planned progress.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports, S-curves, progress curves, manpower histograms, and productivity reports.
• Track critical paths and schedule risks; perform CPM and delay analysis and recommend recovery measures.
• Monitor subcontractor schedules, procurement, material deliveries, and their effects on construction progress.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules and review sequencing for structural, architectural, façade, and MEP works.
• Prepare delay notifications, recovery programmes, time-impact analyses, and EOT supporting documentation as required.
• Maintain progress records, forecasts, and schedule revisions; coordinate constraints, resource forecasts, meetings, and recovery plans.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant UAE construction planning experience; high-rise project experience is preferred.
• Strong experience with Primavera P6; good knowledge of construction methodologies and project scheduling.
• Experience in progress measurement, reporting, and schedule analysis.
• Knowledge of contractual requirements and delay/EOT procedures is preferred.

High-rise construction knowledge

• Practical planning and sequencing knowledge covering excavation, shoring, foundations, basements, structural works, and building cycles.
• Knowledge of formwork, reinforcement, tower cranes, material hoists, façade, curtain walls, blockwork, and plastering.
• Knowledge of MEP first and second fix, waterproofing, internal and external finishes, testing, commissioning, inspections, snagging, and handover.

Technical skills

• Primavera P6, MS Project, and advanced MS Excel.
• Progress measurement, earned value concepts, CPM, schedule analysis, S-curves, and productivity analysis.
• Resource loading, manpower forecasting, delay analysis, recovery planning, and construction sequencing.

Pay

• AED 10,000–15,000 per month.
