Process Technician (Senior Process Operator)

Overview

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor various process equipment, instrumentation, and control systems, such as reactors, distillation columns, filtration units, and packaging lines
• Perform routine inspections, adjustments, and minor maintenance on process equipment to maintain optimal operating conditions
• Collect and analyze process data, including temperature, pressure, flow rates, and product quality measurements, to identify trends and potential issues
• Implement process control strategies and make adjustments to setpoints, flows, and other process parameters to maintain product quality and process stability
• Troubleshoot process upsets, equipment malfunctions, and quality deviations, and take appropriate corrective actions to restore normal operations
• Document process activities, log operational data, and maintain detailed records of process changes, equipment maintenance, and quality control measures
• Assist in the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives, including the evaluation of new technologies, equipment, and operating procedures
• Collaborate with other production, maintenance, and quality assurance personnel to ensure effective coordination and problem-solving across functional areas
• Provide training and guidance to less experienced process technicians or operators
• Comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards, and actively promote a culture of safety
