Principal Integration & Test - Technician - FTI

Role Overview

Qualifications / Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanical technology is preferred.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience; integration and testing experience is required, along with familiarity with UAV systems.
• Proficiency in hand and power tools and ability to read and interpret technical drawings are required.
• Knowledge of adhesive bonding and composite assembly methods is desirable.
• Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, teamwork, problem-solving, and commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement are expected.
• LEAN, 3P, or 5S certifications are an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate UAV payload systems, including mounting, wiring, and configuration.
• Conduct ground testing of payloads, sensors, avionics, and communication systems.
• Support flight-test preparation and execution and operate and monitor test equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues, collaborate on test plans and readiness, and maintain functional test setups and calibrated equipment.

Safety and Documentation

• Follow safety protocols and applicable regulatory standards during integration and testing.
• Maintain accurate records of integration, testing, troubleshooting, system performance, and test results.

Operating Environment

• Work in a hands-on, high-security environment that may include remote or restricted locations.
• Participate in flight-test missions and support pre-flight and post-flight activities.
• The role may involve extended standing, lifting equipment, and working with machinery; PPE is mandatory.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet deadlines.
