About the Role

The Principal Engineer works within the Infrastructure Team to deliver complex infrastructure projects and maintain high quality standards.

The role provides technical input, collaborates with senior team members, and supports execution across multiple infrastructure projects.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee infrastructure project design and implementation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.
  • Develop sustainable infrastructure solutions and ensure compliance with local and international standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Conduct technical reviews, quality assurance checks, and reviews of project deliverables.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, reports, calculations, and design documentation.

Wet Utilities and Modeling

  • Design and assess surface water drainage systems for efficient stormwater management and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling to inform design decisions and evaluate drainage-system impacts.
  • Work across potable water, sewer, storm, irrigation, district cooling, and firefighting systems.

Education and Experience

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field is required.
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant wet utilities experience is required.
  • Professional Engineering licensure or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Experience designing wet utilities across water, sewer, storm, irrigation, cooling, and firefighting systems is required.

Software and Technical Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, EPANET, WaterCAD, InfoWorks, SewerCAD, StormCAD, and SWMM is required.
  • Civil 3D design experience in a BIM environment is required.
  • Knowledge of clash resolution using Navisworks, Bentley Navigator, or Autodesk Civil 3D is required.
  • Experience with ArcGIS, MicroStation, MicroDrainage, and HAMMER is advantageous.

Professional Capabilities

  • Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations is required.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and lead large-scale projects is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and professional development are required.
