Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD, and related software in accordance with Indian electrical standards and project specifications.
• Create 2D schematics, single-line diagrams, and construction drawings from BIM models.
• Coordinate across disciplines to identify and resolve clashes; use Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud for clash detection and interface coordination.
• Prepare layouts for power distribution, lighting, cable routing, and containment.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, project requirements, and BIM standards; provide model updates and technical clarifications.
• Assist with quantity take-offs, BOQs, and coordination drawings for procurement and construction.
• Meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy; support digital outputs and information sharing across disciplines.
• Contribute to the MEP content library and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional electrical BIM modeling experience on complex projects.
• Advanced proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revizto.
• Experience with collaborative platforms and Common Data Environments, particularly Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, Indian electrical codes and standards, and BIM workflows.
• Expertise in clash detection, coordination drawings, and interdisciplinary design coordination.
• Understanding of power distribution, lighting, cable management, and electrical containment.
• Experience with quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; attention to detail and quality assurance.
• Ability to mentor and support junior colleagues and manage time to meet deadlines.
• Experience on projects in India or South Asia is preferred.
