  • Work with the Head of Analysis and Evaluation to set analytical direction and build capability.
  • Set and implement standards, processes and structures for effective data preparation, governance and use.
  • Assure analysis across complex place-based projects and deliver advanced analysis and visualisation as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for analysis, influence decisions, improve data practices and represent the programme and analyst community externally.
  • Travel within the UK to work with local partners and work openly, sharing work regularly.

Essential experience and skills

  • Experience leading a high-performing analysis team, maintaining an inclusive and psychologically safe culture, and supporting professional development.
  • Experience applying and guiding others in statistical and analytical tools, including quantitative analysis in mixed-methods research.
  • Experience assuring the quality of analytical techniques and outputs and continually improving practices.
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly between technical and non-technical audiences.

Salary and allowance

  • Salary is £71,734–£83,355, with separate national and London ranges and potential specialist pay allowance.
  • A DDaT allowance may be available, based on assessment of skills and experience.
  • Civil Service Pension employer contribution is 28.97%.
