The Principal Data Analyst role is mapped to the Government Digital and Data capability framework and supports digital and non-digital projects.

  • Experience developing and guiding others in statistical and analytical techniques, including quantitative analysis in mixed methods research.
  • Experience overseeing quality assurance of analytical techniques and outputs and continually improving practices.
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly between technical and non-technical audiences.

Salary and contract

  • Salary range is £71,734–£83,355, with separate national and London ranges and possible specialist pay allowance.
  • The role is fixed term until March 2028; loan and secondment arrangements are also listed.
