The Opportunity
Principal AI/ML Engineer leadership role for enterprise AI consulting engagements in the UAE.
Lead cross-functional AI engineering, data science, and data engineering squads to deliver production-ready ML and generative AI systems.
Act as a technical authority, team mentor, and trusted client principal.
What You'll Do
- Architect, build, and deploy enterprise ML models, deep learning pipelines, RAG systems, and LLM agent frameworks on AWS and Azure.
- Advise C-suite clients and engineering leaders on technical execution blueprints, evaluation harnesses, and delivery roadmaps.
- Lead and coach AI engineers and quantitative specialists.
- Align business and IT agendas, resolve project friction, and present AI explainability and ethics decisions to review boards and risk committees.
- Design zero-trust AI security, prompt-injection defenses, PII masking, and compliant CI/CD pipelines.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Theoretical Physics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 8+ years in software engineering, machine learning, and AI platform development.
- Substantial team leadership experience in top-tier technology or management consultancies.
- Strong client-trust building, organizational awareness, technical conflict resolution, empathy, and leadership skills.
- Deep expertise in PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain or LlamaIndex, vector databases, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS SageMaker, and Azure OpenAI.
- Track record of deploying complex AI/ML systems from notebooks into secure, high-concurrency production cloud environments.
- Financial services, banking, or capital markets experience is highly advantageous.
What Gives You an Edge
- Experience with LoRA, QLoRA, quantization, and open-weight LLM serving tools including vLLM, Ollama, or TGI.
- Experience designing concurrent multi-cloud AI architectures across AWS and Azure in regulated environments.
- Experience with enterprise procurement, client dynamics, and UAE or GCC regulatory frameworks.
