UAEU’s College of Information Technology invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow on a strategic research-funded project.
The project develops machine-learning-assisted metamaterials for terahertz photonics applications.
Role Responsibilities
- Design, optimize, fabricate, and characterize terahertz metamaterials using machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, and inverse design approaches.
- Develop machine-learning models to predict and optimize metamaterial parameters.
- Validate results through electromagnetic simulations and support experimental verification.
Minimum Qualification
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications and Expected Skills
- Research experience in machine learning or deep learning applied to physical systems.
- Knowledge of metamaterials, photonics, or electromagnetic simulations.
- Experience with Python and libraries such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Familiarity with inverse design, generative AI, or multi-output regression models.
- Experience with simulation-driven datasets.
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals or conferences.
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary and international research teams.
