Responsibilities

• Teach and assess medical students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Develop curricula, mentor students, and supervise research.
• Provide consultant-level inpatient, outpatient, and on-call clinical services at affiliated teaching hospitals, subject to credentialing and licensure.
• Develop collaborative research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and pursue research funding.
• Participate in departmental, College, and University service and academic leadership.

Minimum qualifications

• MD, MBBS, or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate Pediatrics qualification and relevant subspecialty training, where applicable.
• Eligibility for appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank under UAEU academic criteria.
• Eligibility to obtain consultant-level professional licensure in the UAE.
• Demonstrated undergraduate and/or postgraduate medical education experience.
• Strong peer-reviewed publication record and active research profile.

Preferred qualifications

• Fellowship, board certification, or equivalent specialist certification from North America, Europe, Australia/New Zealand, or the United Kingdom.
• Sustained competitive research funding and research leadership.
• Experience in curriculum design, course leadership, student assessment, and medical education quality assurance.
• Familiarity with international education standards, accreditation, and licensing examinations, including USMLE, Canadian qualifying examinations, or equivalents.
• Demonstrated academic leadership, mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Expected skills

• Established academic achievement appropriate to Associate Professor or Professor appointment.
• Ability to develop and sustain internally or externally funded research, publish in high-quality journals, and contribute to collaborative research.
• Experience in teaching, curriculum development, student assessment, mentorship, and academic administration.
