Role overview
Planning Manager role for a mixed-use project based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Supports project leaders in service delivery, successful project outcomes, knowledge sharing, innovation, and client service.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the project's master programme and prepare the baseline programme.
- Monitor programme activities and proactively manage and review the contractor's programme.
- Monitor planning and project controls work for conformance with project procedures.
- Develop and monitor permitting and authority approval processes.
- Prepare monthly reports and recovery plans when applicable.
- Finalize weekly progress report submissions and weekly quantity reports.
- Provide the Project Manager with progress updates, forecast completions, critical path analysis, and trend analysis.
- Assess approved changes and deviations from project targets, including productivity monitoring and what-if scenarios.
- Work with the Project Manager, Engineer, and Contractor to resolve schedule issues.
- Review and analyze contractors' claims and prepare recommendations reports.
Skills, experience and qualifications
- Experience working on high-end mixed-use projects.
- BSc in a relevant discipline.
- Considerable pre-contract and post-contract experience on major projects.
- Good technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills.
- Experience with P6 software.
