Position Overview

A Construction Planning Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining the project baseline programme, monitoring construction progress, and ensuring project milestones are achieved on time.

The role involves preparing weekly and monthly progress reports, analyzing planned versus actual performance, tracking critical activities, identifying delays, and coordinating with project teams to implement corrective actions.

Using tools such as Primavera P6, the Planning Engineer supports effective project control, reporting, and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and update project schedules using

Primavera P6/MS Project

  • .
  • Monitor construction progress and compare actual vs planned work.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, S-curves, and look-ahead plans.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams, and subcontractors.
  • Support resource planning, recovery schedules, and Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
  • Ensure projects are completed within approved timelines and contractual milestones.

& Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 4–7 years of UAE or GCC planning experience, ideally on high-rise or large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel; MS PowerPoint for reporting.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (civil, structural, MEP).
  • Strong analytical, time‑management and organizational capabilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; proactive attitude.
