Planning Engineer

Strategic

• Prepare and present regular reports on project performance, financial status, and forecasted costs to stakeholders and senior management
• Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data collection, reporting, and decision-making
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including milestones and deadlines, to track progress and identify risks

Operational

• Assist in the preparation of tender schedules and baseline schedules
• Study contract and tender documents to develop reliable and accurate project schedules
• Collect and validate actual progress through frequent site/production visits
• Update project schedules to reflect progress, revisions, accelerations, and recovery plans
• Develop flowcharts, work sequences, and planning presentations
• Identify potential delays, risks, and critical issues and provide recovery strategies
• Conduct delay analysis and advise on Extension of Time (EOT) claims
• Support the Contracts team with required documentation for EOT submissions
• Coordinate with internal teams (Production, Procurement, Engineering, QS, Cost Control) to optimize project timelines
• Lead and participate in project progress and coordination meetings
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure schedule alignment
• Load resources into schedules and generate histograms, cash-in, and cash-out curves
• Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly reports for internal and client use
• Ensure all planning data and schedules are accurate, logical, and properly documented

• Minimum
• 7 years of relevant experience
• in planning and project control
• Strong expertise in project scheduling, delay analysis, and resource planning
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies and project sequencing
• Experience in preparing baseline schedules and tender schedules
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
