We are hiring a
Placement Officer (Reinsurance)
for one of our clients, a leading international reinsurance brokerage based in UAE.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced reinsurance professional with expertise in treaty and facultative placements, market negotiations, and building strong relationships with regional and international reinsurers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the placement of treaty and facultative reinsurance risks with local and international markets.
- Prepare placement submissions, underwriting information, and renewal documentation.
- Liaise with reinsurers, brokers, and cedants to obtain quotations and negotiate terms.
- Coordinate placements from submission through binding and documentation.
- Maintain accurate placement records and ensure timely renewals.
- Support relationship management with existing and prospective reinsurance markets.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as ACII or Dip CII are an advantage.
- 3–6 years of experience in reinsurance broking, insurance, or reinsurance placement.
- Exposure to treaty and facultative reinsurance placements is preferred.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of reinsurance principles, treaty, and facultative structures.
- Experience working with regional and international reinsurance markets is desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with insurance or reinsurance broking systems is an advantage.
