Role overview
Support delivery of SEND reforms across Brighton & Hove through performance analysis, reporting, and business intelligence.
Help services understand demand, monitor improvement activity, and improve outcomes for children, young people, and families.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and business intelligence products for SEND services.
- Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and emerging issues.
- Monitor and report on SEND reform activity and improvement programmes.
- Produce performance information for managers, senior leaders, councillors, and external partners.
- Improve data quality, reporting processes, and intelligence products.
- Support statutory returns, inspection activity, and assurance processes.
- Communicate complex technical information as clear, accessible insight.
- Work with operational teams to develop meaningful performance measures.
Candidate requirements
- Strong analytical skills and experience with large, complex datasets.
- Excellent Power BI skills, with experience using Excel and SQL to extract, cleanse, analyse, and present information.
- Confidence communicating findings to technical and non-technical audiences and building stakeholder relationships.
- Relevant experience in local government, education, SEND, children's services, or a related public-sector environment is particularly valuable.
Compensation and contract
- Annual salary is £39,862.
- The role is permanent and has 37 contractual hours.

- The role is described as flexi hours.
