Performance Analyst in HMRC's Modern Workplace Platforms team, supporting the management, governance, and continual improvement of software services.
The role combines software licence administration, user access management, stakeholder engagement, and performance reporting to support service value and decision-making.
Key responsibilities
- Manage enquiries, administer software licences and user access, and maintain licence pools, records, and inventories.
- Produce and analyse usage and performance reports; support licence optimisation, reviews, recertification, and governance.
- Support software procurement and renewals, supplier engagement, service reviews, and monitoring against service levels.
- Maintain the Software Team SharePoint site and guidance and contribute to service improvement.
- Work with internal stakeholders, suppliers, Supplier Managers, and Commercial teams on reporting and service delivery.
Essential criteria
- Ability to analyse and interpret information to produce meaningful insight and support informed decision-making.
- Experience producing, maintaining, or working with reports and data, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Pay and pension
- The stated salary range is £37,682–£40,705; external applicants join at the pay-band minimum.
- Civil Service Pension employer contribution is 28.97%.
Working pattern
- The posting lists flexible working and offers full-time, job-share, and part-time patterns.
- The contract is permanent.
Location
- The listed locations are Telford (Plaza 1 and 2) and Birmingham Regional Centre (Arena Central).
