**The Role** We are looking for a creative and technically skilled Pastry Chef to lead the pastry and dessert offering at Gran Caffè.
You will be responsible for crafting exceptional Italian-inspired desserts, pastries, and sweet creations that reflect the quality and identity of our brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute a dessert and pastry menu that complements our culinary identity
- Prepare all pastry, dessert, and baked goods to the highest standard of quality and presentation
- Manage the pastry section independently, including mise en place, stock, and ordering
- Create seasonal specials and contribute new ideas that keep the menu fresh and exciting
- Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and HACCP standards within the pastry section
- Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure cohesion across the full dining experience
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting
- Strong foundation in classical Italian and European pastry techniques
- A creative eye for detail with a passion for beautiful, thoughtful plating and presentation
- Ability to work independently and manage the pastry section with ownership and discipline
- Culinary or pastry qualification from a recognized institution is preferred
- Experience in Dubai or the GCC region is an advantage
