Commis 2 Pastry Chef

Overview

(Compulsory)

• Minimum 3–4 years of previous pastry or bakery experience
• Previous experience in donut baking and frying is preferred
• Basic knowledge of handling POS machines, order punching, and managing online orders is compulsory
• Good understanding of managing daily and monthly inventory and daily kitchen operations is a must
• Vegan and eggless baking experience is a plus
• Basic knowledge of preparing special coffees and beverages is required
• Excellent and clear English communication skills
• Knowledge of UAE food safety and hygiene standards is a must

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of eggless bakery and dessert items including donuts, cakes, cupcakes, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, cookies, brownies, croissants, protein bars, and chocolate bars
• Decorate donuts and cakes using icing, toppings, fondant art, ganache, and creative finishing techniques
• Create and suggest new flavours, designs, and seasonal menu items regularly
• Handle customer orders accurately through POS systems and online delivery platforms
• Ensure timely preparation and dispatch of all orders
• Conduct daily inventory checks and maintain proper stock levels
• Handle cash transactions and support daily cash closing procedures
• Work closely with the pastry chef, barista, and team members to maintain quality and consistency
• Follow company recipes, kitchen standards, and hygiene protocols at all times

Preferred Skills

• Master in themed cakes, donut towers, fondant work, Icings, toppings, preparing ganache and creative dessert presentation
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and simple reporting
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Creative mindset with willingness to contribute new menu ideas
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
