Responsibilities
- Prepare and present fresh pastries, desserts, cakes, and bakery items.
- Develop new menu concepts and seasonal dessert collections.
- Prepare French and Italian pastries, including croissants, éclairs, tarts, mille-feuille, cannoli, tiramisu, and panna cotta.
- Maintain hygiene, food quality, and presentation standards.
- Monitor stock, order ingredients, and minimize waste.
- Support junior pastry team members and smooth daily operations.
- Collaborate with management on menu planning and costing.
- Follow food safety and HACCP guidelines.
Requirements
- 4–6 years in a similar role in a high-end pastry kitchen or fine dining restaurant.
- Expertise in French and Italian pastry techniques.
- Strong creative and presentation skills, with current knowledge of global dessert trends.
- Ability to work independently and lead a small pastry team.
- Knowledge of bakery and pastry kitchen operations.
- Flexible, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous learning.
- Five years of bakery and pastry experience is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 4,000–4,500 per month.
Work setting
- The position is in a premium bakery or café setting in Dubai.
Employment
The job is full-time and permanent.
