Role overview

Teaching responsibilities

• Teach speaking, listening, reading, pronunciation, Pinyin, and basic characters in eight short weekly sessions.
• Plan structured lessons for beginner and intermediate learners using games, conversation, and audio-visual aids.
• Incorporate Chinese culture and social etiquette; monitor learner progress, give constructive feedback, and encourage participation.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, engaging classroom and support effective group interaction.

Qualifications and requirements

• Native or near-native Mandarin with clear pronunciation; good English communication ability.
• Experience teaching Mandarin to children, teenagers, or adults; language institute or school experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in TCFL, education, linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
• Strong communication and coordination, rapport, enthusiasm, patience, and adaptable teaching methods.
• Availability for two to three hours weekly covering eight classes; current residence in Dubai or nearby and valid UAE residence status.

Compensation
