Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate import/export trafficking functions, data entry, and document distribution duties for customer shipments.
- Order processing: receive documents, initiate logging, confirm US Customs compliance, process documents, coordinate cargo availability, arrange pickup and delivery, finalize billing, and distribute documents.
- Shipment status reporting: review daily monitoring reports, ensure measurement standards are met, and proactively report non-conformances.
- Maintenance: ensure all tables are complete and current, assist in accounting issues, perform RFI/RFQ as required, and ensure prompt and accurate communications.
Job Requirements
- A four-year BS/BA degree is required.
- Zero to one year of experience in customer service duties.
- A strong desire to work in the supply chain/logistics/transportation field.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced office.
- Good communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills required.
- Candidate must possess a strong teamwork attitude.
- Leadership experience is strongly desired.
- Candidate must be PC literate with MS Office applications.
Physical Capabilities
Position is considered sedentary with no unusual physical requirements.
Employee frequently sits, stands, walks, bends, reaches, and uses vision, hearing, speech, and reading.
Employee regularly uses a computer, fax machine, and phone and must occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds.
