The group offers trading technology and financial products including Forex, Metals, Shares, Indices, Commodities, and Cryptocurrency CFDs.

MEX Exchange operates an institutional ECN providing liquidity, pricing, and execution solutions to professional market participants.

Role overview

The Operations Associate joins the MEX Exchange Operations team and is expected to multitask, reprioritize quickly, and escalate production issues.

Three positions are available, covering Asia, UK, and NY shifts.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor processes, client connections, and trade flows in real time.
  • Maintain daily control reports and identify escalation triggers.
  • Onboard clients and vendors, including system setup and connectivity coordination.
  • Manage relationships with prime brokers, banks, clients, and vendors to resolve connectivity and daily issues.
  • Analyze client trends, queries, fill rates, and issues; develop tools to improve client experience and liaise with Sales.
  • Use liquidity analytics to support discussions that improve pricing and client execution.
  • Test and troubleshoot proprietary trading GUIs and administrative portals.
  • Improve CRM data capture and prepare weekly or monthly progress and touchpoint reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Track client onboarding and volume progression.
  • Maintain liquidity routing and track changes to support appropriate client streams and robust pricing.

Qualifications and requirements

  • 1–3 years of analytical or client service experience in financial products.
  • Solid understanding of FX products such as Spot, Forwards, Swaps, and NDFs.
  • Knowledge of the trade lifecycle from execution through confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy under time pressure; able to investigate discrepancies and recommend fixes.
  • Comfort with large datasets and Excel pivot tables, lookups, and macros; Python is ideal.
  • Diligent, self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative, with clear written and verbal communication.
  • Adherence to policies, controls, and audit requirements; awareness of sanctions screening and AML controls.
