The appointment combines teaching, curriculum development, student research supervision, and industry engagement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver program courses using innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
- Engage with industry to identify projects and maintain course rigor and relevance.
- Support and supervise students’ research projects, including industry research.
- Liaise with industry partners to achieve program learning outcomes.
- Source experts and qualified guest lecturers.
- Keep current with scientific and industry developments.
- Represent the university and faculty on appropriate committees and groups.
- Participate in societal interaction and international cooperation in the field.
Qualifications
- Industry experience is required.
- A PhD in computer science or a closely related area before appointment is preferred.
- Applicants should demonstrate innovative, impactful research and use of advanced technologies to solve real business challenges.
- An interest in mentoring graduate students is expected.
- Applicants with a related master’s degree, strong teaching records, and industrial experience will also be considered.
- Knowledge of the UAE or Gulf business environment is preferred.
