- Experience in freight forwarding operations, including import/export processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the import and export of goods, ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipments.
- Prepare and review all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Ensure all shipments comply with customs regulations and other legal requirements.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates on shipment status and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Work closely with carriers, suppliers, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Identify and resolve any issues or delays in the shipment process, coordinating with relevant parties to find solutions.
- Monitor and manage costs associated with freight forwarding, seeking opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Track and report on the performance of freight forwarding operations, using metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices within the department.
