Nursery Teacher

Role overview

Childcare and learning

• Supervise children, support their daily care and developmental needs, and ensure release only to authorized guardians.
• Plan age-appropriate learning and recreational activities, including stories, arts and crafts, games, and music.
• Encourage creativity, communication, social skills, and independence; adapt activities to ages and individual learning needs.

Safety and family communication

• Maintain a clean, safe nursery; inspect play areas and equipment, monitor children's health, follow emergency procedures, and report incidents.
• Welcome families, share updates about children's activities and well-being, address questions professionally, and escalate complaints or issues.

Nursery operations

• Maintain attendance, registration, and guardian records; monitor supplies and maintain toys, equipment, and educational materials.
• Assist with nursery events and programs and coordinate with other departments when operational assistance is needed.

Requirements and qualifications

• Previous experience as a nursery teacher, childcare assistant, or in a similar position.
• A diploma or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
• Good English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
• Knowledge of child development, age-appropriate teaching methods, childcare safety, hygiene, and basic first aid.
• Ability to supervise multiple children and work weekends and public holidays according to the operational schedule.
• Relevant qualifications and approvals are required under applicable UAE and Ajman regulations.

Schedule

• Working hours and weekly days off depend on nursery operational requirements and applicable UAE labour regulations.

Working conditions

• Work within Ajman Water Park's nursery facilities and comply with company policies, child safeguarding procedures, and health and safety requirements.

Pay

• AED 1,311.31–2,123.94 per month.
