- Monitor vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, and report any significant changes to nursing staff promptly.
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development to enhance care techniques and stay updated on healthcare best practices.
- Assist in feeding patients who require help, ensuring they receive adequate nutrition while respecting their preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive atmosphere and addressing their concerns empathetically.
- Support patients' mobility by assisting with repositioning, walking, and using mobility aids like wheelchairs and walkers.
- Document patient care and observations accurately in electronic health records, providing essential information for the healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.
- Help transport patients to and from examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to implement patient care plans, contributing insights from direct patient interactions.
