Role overview

Shift coverage

• The role is part of continuous 24/7 shift coverage, including weekend days, with flexibility to cover other shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production alerts across dashboards, metrics, synthetic monitoring, alert email, and other sources.
• Triage alerts using severity, SLAs, runbooks, and evidence; take authorized actions and escalate findings to service or application owners.
• Open and facilitate incidents, bring in appropriate teams, follow process, and update stakeholders.
• Provide first response for partner-facing teams outside their working hours and make mitigation decisions within documented limits.
• Maintain NOC runbooks and dashboards and raise documentation gaps with responsible teams.
• Route vendor maintenance notices to internal owners.
• Conduct verbal handovers of open work and keep written records during shifts.

Requirements

• Proven experience in 24/7 production operations, a NOC, or an SRE-adjacent environment.
• Proficiency in Linux, command-line navigation, file system management, and shell scripting.
• Fluency with Grafana or comparable metrics and dashboard platforms, plus infrastructure and synthetic monitoring.
• Strong systems and networking fundamentals, including interpreting latency, packet loss, and timeouts.
• Runbook discipline, independent judgment, and excellent written communication.
