Network & Security Operations Engineer

Role overview

Network access control and identity

• Hands-on experience with Forescout and Aruba ClearPass.
• Understand 802.1X, certificate-based authentication, MAC authentication, TACACS+, and guest access services.
• Experience implementing policy-based access control and network segmentation strategies.

Wireless and routing

• Manage Aruba Wireless environments; know WLAN design, SSID management, wireless security, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Cisco routing and switching; understand LAN/WAN architectures, routing protocols, VLANs, and network troubleshooting.

Network security and cloud

• Hands-on experience managing Palo Alto Networks Firewalls.
• Experience deploying, operating, and troubleshooting Fortinet SD-WAN.
• Understand security best practices, segmentation, and threat mitigation.
• Know Microsoft Azure Networking services and hybrid cloud connectivity; support cloud-based network and security architectures.

Web security and proxy

• Practical experience administering Zscaler and Forcepoint proxy solutions.
• Know web security controls, SSL inspection, content filtering, and secure internet access frameworks.

Preferred certifications

• Forescout Certified Administrator is preferred.
• Listed certifications include CCNP Enterprise, PCNSA/PCNSE, Fortinet NSE 4+, Aruba ACMP/ACDX, and Microsoft Azure Administrator AZ-104 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise network and security infrastructure.
• Operate and troubleshoot network connectivity and security controls.
• Manage access management and network access control services.
• Operate and improve wireless networking services and environments.
• Support and improve cloud networking environments and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Continuously improve network and security operations and infrastructure.
