Network Security Engineer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and support network security solutions.
• Perform firewall policy reviews, security assessments, rule optimization, and platform health checks.
• Troubleshoot network, security, routing, segmentation, and application connectivity issues.
• Manage Cisco ACI tenants, VRFs, bridge domains, EPGs, contracts, and L3 Outs.
• Manage Check Point firewall access control and NAT policies.
• Deploy and support Palo Alto next-generation firewalls and Panorama.
• Maintain security compliance with client operational standards.
• Participate in change management, problem management, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with architects, project teams, and service delivery stakeholders.
• Maintain HLDs, LLDs, implementation plans, SOPs, and operational runbooks.

Required qualifications

• At least 6 years of network and security engineering experience.
• Enterprise network security design and support experience in large-scale environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, Check Point firewalls, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Knowledge of network segmentation, security architecture, firewall technologies, and network operations.
• Networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN EVPN, LAN/WAN, and data centre networking.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred qualifications

• Managed services or enterprise operations experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale, multi-vendor network infrastructure.
• ITIL Foundation, CCNP Enterprise or Data Center, PCNSE, CCSA, CCSE, or CISSP certification.
