Network and security delivery
- Deploy and configure VMware Cloud Director networks, edge gateways, and NSX-T-backed provider gateway integrations.
- Deploy NSX Advanced Load Balancer virtual services, pools, health monitors, SSL termination, and WAF policies.
- Implement Layer 2 extension using NSX L2 Bridging, VMware HCX, or equivalent technologies.
- Configure NSX-T overlay networking, gateways, distributed routing, firewalls, and micro-segmentation.
- Deploy NGFW, IPS, and threat-protection tools from staging through production.
Migration and platform implementation
- Execute end-to-end security migrations to modern platforms while minimizing business disruption.
- Deploy and manage Palo Alto and Fortinet platforms, including policy migration, filtering, SSL inspection, VPNs, and threat prevention.
- Configure OCI network security and IAM policies for hybrid and private-cloud environments.
- Deploy F5 BIG-IP solutions and execute ADC migration and cutover activities.
- Configure secure web proxies and URL filtering for acceptable-use and data-loss-prevention policies.
Assessment and documentation
- Assess existing infrastructure, identify remediation needs, and ensure solutions meet security and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to HLD and LLD documentation; develop migration plans, runbooks, test plans, and post-migration reports.
Required qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of hands-on network security implementation, deployment, and migration experience.
- Production experience with VMware NSX-T/NSX-4, VCD networking, NSX Advanced Load Balancer, and Layer 2 extension technologies.
- Proven delivery of complex security migrations and cutovers in live enterprise environments.
- Deep Fortinet and Palo Alto expertise; familiarity with OCI security; production F5 BIG-IP integration experience.
- Experience with secure web proxy and URL filtering, compliance frameworks, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
Technical scope
- NSX-T/NSX-4 includes overlay networking, gateways, distributed routing, firewalls, micro-segmentation, and NSX Manager clusters.
- VCD networking includes organization VDC networks, edge gateways, network types, provider gateway integration, and multi-tenant provisioning.
- OCI security includes Security Lists, Network Firewall, Fast Connect, Load Balancer, OCI IAM, and Landing Zone configuration.
- Additional scope includes Terraform or Ansible security automation, VPNs, IAM/PAM, Active Directory, LDAP, and RBAC.
Preferred qualifications
- Preferred certifications include VMware VCP-NV, NSX VCIX-NV or implementation expert, CCNP Security or equivalent, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE 7 or higher, F5 CSE, and OCI Network Associate.
- Prior HLD or LLD design experience across NSX, VCD, NGFW, or F5 environments is valued.
Working approach

- Strong communication and cross-team coordination are needed during live migrations.
