The role combines sales techniques, tour and preview package scheduling, guest service, message handling, and general hotel standards.
Sales and guest service
- Use sales techniques to maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty, and identify opportunities to upsell enhancements.
- Encourage guests or callers to purchase or schedule preview package sales and tours.
- Explain sales presentation details and requirements to prospective owners, verify eligibility, and schedule qualifying tours.
- Select and provide appropriate complimentary gifts to guests for their patronage.
- Answer guest questions about property facilities and services.
- Receive, record, and relay messages accurately, completely, and legibly.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate and address service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
Standards and teamwork
- Follow company policies, maintain professional personal appearance, preserve confidentiality, and protect company assets.
- Communicate professionally, prepare and review written documents accurately, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
- Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and listen and respond to colleagues’ concerns.
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance; stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
