Modern Workplace Engineer

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone passionate about Microsoft cloud technologies, workplace transformation and automation.

You'll work across Microsoft Entra, Microsoft 365, Intune, Copilot and Power Platform, helping to deliver secure, scalable and user-focused solutions while driving adoption of modern workplace capabilities across the organisation.

Essential experience

Strong experience administering Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 environments.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.

Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles.

Experience implementing Conditional Access and Zero Trust security controls.

Administration experience across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Microsoft Teams.

Experience with endpoint security, compliance and device management.

Strong PowerShell scripting and automation capabilities.

Experience using Microsoft Graph and cloud-native automation tools.

Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for simplifying and automating processes.

Desirable experience

Microsoft Entra ID Governance and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).

Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.

Microsoft Copilot administration, governance or adoption initiatives.

Power Platform governance and DLP policy management.

Identity lifecycle management including joiner, mover and leaver processes.

Microsoft licensing, service health monitoring and adoption reporting.

Supporting global end-user computing and workplace services.

Qualifications

Experience in Modern Workplace Engineering, Identity & Access Management, Microsoft 365 Administration, Endpoint Management or End User Computing.

Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, MD-102, SC-300, SC-900 or AZ-900 would be advantageous.

Practical experience supporting enterprise Microsoft cloud technologies.

Understanding of identity, security, endpoint management and Zero Trust principles.
