Position details

Minibar operations

• Assist with opening and closing, prepare supplies and utensils, and clean equipment and work areas.
• Inventory minibar products, room accessories, and promotional materials; replace items as needed and monitor product availability, expiry dates, and stock levels.
• Keep refreshment centers clean and orderly, record sales in the computer system, and restock bars as directed.
• Use software to assign guest rooms to attendants and check that attendant notes are communicated to management.
• Prepare daily room-inventory lists and restocking carts, and take carts to floors with rooms ready for inventory.
• Order products from suppliers in emergencies.
• Respond to guest requests and assign them to the appropriate attendant; report operational issues to hotel managers.

Team and shift support

• Model and mentor employees while working alongside them on technical or functional tasks.
• Help management set and communicate goals, performance expectations, schedules, and deadlines to hourly employees, and confirm they understand.
• Help staff work as a team to provide effective guest service.

Desirable qualifications

• A secondary-school diploma or GED equivalent is desirable.
• At least two years of related work experience is desirable.
• Supervisory experience is not required; no license or certification is specified.

Physical and workplace expectations

• Follow company safety policies, report maintenance or safety issues, accidents, and injuries, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a neat, professional uniform and appearance; protect company information and property and treat coworkers respectfully.
• Move objects weighing less than 25 pounds (11.25 kg) without assistance; stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Read and visually check information; handle objects using fine motor and hand-eye coordination; reach, bend, twist, stoop, and move through confined or elevated spaces.
• Use service stairs or ramps and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
