The MEP Projects Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects from inception to completion.
The role involves overseeing project execution, coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contractual specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple MEP projects simultaneously from award to handover.
- Develop detailed project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, and authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within approved budgets.
- Supervise site engineers, project engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical submissions.
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, international standards, and company policies.
- Manage procurement activities by coordinating with purchasing and logistics teams.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and prepare progress reports for management and clients.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Resolve technical issues and provide engineering guidance to site teams.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to QA/QC procedures.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and final project handover.
- Verify subcontractor work progress and approve payment certifications.
- Manage project variations, claims, and contractual correspondence.
- Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
