MEP Procurement Engineer

Sources and procures mechanical, electrical, and plumbing materials, equipment, and subcontract packages for projects.
Coordinates with project, design, and site teams to support timely delivery, cost optimization, and compliance with technical and contractual requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Review MEP drawings, BOQs, and specifications for procurement requirements.
- Source suppliers and subcontractors, obtain quotations, and conduct technical and commercial evaluations.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
- Ensure materials meet project specifications and consultant approvals.
- Track deliveries and coordinate with site teams to avoid delays.
- Maintain procurement logs and vendor databases.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and value engineering.
- Monitor market trends, lead times, and supplier performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of procurement experience in MEP or construction.
- Strong knowledge of MEP materials, suppliers, and the local UAE market.
- Familiarity with BOQs, contracts, and technical submittals.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
