The employer seeks a Procurement Engineer specializing in MEP materials for contracting projects in the UAE.
Responsibilities
- Review specifications, drawings, and bills of quantities to identify required materials and equipment.
- Issue inquiries to suppliers and subcontractors; evaluate technical and commercial offers.
- Negotiate prices, terms, delivery schedules, and payment conditions.
- Prepare comparison sheets, recommend suppliers, and support final approvals.
- Coordinate deliveries with suppliers, logistics teams, and project sites.
- Maintain procurement logs, vendor databases, and material tracking reports.
- Ensure procured items meet project specifications and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum four years of MEP procurement experience in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of MEP materials, local suppliers, and market pricing.
- Proficiency in MS Office, basic AutoCAD, and procurement or ERP systems.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
