Role overview
An experienced Mechanical MEP Design Manager is sought for a 14-month hospitality project in Riyadh.
The role manages and coordinates the mechanical and wider MEP design function through the project lifecycle.
Work with the client, design teams, consultants, and stakeholders to maintain technical delivery, coordination, and design quality.
Key responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and MEP coordination across the project.
- Oversee multidisciplinary design teams and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines.
- Review and manage deliverables from concept through detailed design and construction stages.
- Provide technical leadership and resolve complex design and coordination issues.
- Work with the client, project management teams, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor programme, design quality, technical compliance, and delivery against project requirements.
- Support design reviews, technical workshops, and coordination meetings.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant international standards and Saudi requirements.
Candidate requirements
- Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer or equivalent.
- Significant MEP consultancy or design experience with a strong mechanical bias.
- Proven experience as a Design Manager, MEP Design Manager, or Mechanical Design Manager.
- Strong experience delivering complex, high-value building projects.
- Strong multidisciplinary coordination and client-facing experience.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-profile project environment.
Preferred experience
- Hospitality, luxury residential, resort, or VVIP project experience is highly advantageous.
- Previous Saudi Arabia or GCC experience is preferred.
Location and workplace
- The contract is Riyadh-based and the project is in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
