Prepare estimates for electrical works in MEP and construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Review electrical drawings, technical specifications, and tender documents.
- Prepare BOQs and detailed material take-offs; calculate quantities and costs for materials, equipment, labour, and installation.
- Prepare quotations, tender submissions, and commercial proposals.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations; compare costs and identify savings.
- Coordinate with procurement, design, and project teams to ensure accurate estimates.
- Ensure compliance with UAE electrical standards and project specifications.
- Maintain estimation records, pricing databases, and cost documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in MEP electrical estimation or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, and tender costing.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of UAE electrical regulations and DEWA requirements preferred.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
- Experience with a UAE-based MEP contracting company is advantageous.
Pay
- AED 5,000–8,000 per month.
