Role objective
Prepare and maintain complete, accurate drawings in line with contract specifications, client requirements, governmental approvals, and job needs.
Drafting and coordination responsibilities
- Verify and understand information and sketches before beginning drawings; prepare preliminary drawings for Business Development and Estimation.
- Carry out drafting instructions from the Engineering Manager.
- Assist with compatibility checks for architectural, civil, MEP, and steel/cladding drawings and designs, both in-house and third-party.
- Check subcontractor MEP and steel drawings and coordinate corrections to issue error-free drawings.
- Conduct site visits when needed and send only Issued for Construction drawings to the Construction department.
- File finished drawings electronically and as hard copies according to Engineering department policy; update the drawings library as needed.
- Provide architectural details with minimal support from the Architect and follow project drawing presentation specifications and Engineering standards.
Preferred experience
- Five years of MEP work experience is preferred.
