Experienced MEP Commercial Manager sought to oversee commercial management of major, high-value projects for an MEP contracting business in the UAE.
The role covers the full commercial lifecycle, from tendering and contract negotiation through final accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Lead commercial management of large-scale MEP projects from tender to final account.
- Manage contracts, variations, claims, valuations, and commercial negotiations.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow, and profitability.
- Oversee subcontractor and supplier agreements, payments, and procurement-related commercial matters.
- Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
- Manage and mentor commercial and quantity-surveying teams across multiple projects.
- Ensure compliance with FIDIC, contractual obligations, and company procedures.
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, consultants, and main contractors to achieve commercial objectives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in MEP/electromechanical contracting with strong commercial management expertise.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale, high-value projects.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC, contracts, variations, claims, valuations, procurement, and final accounts.
- Experience managing commercial teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and ELV systems.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen.
- UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.
