DESTINATION INSIGHTS & PLANNING ANALYST

Role purpose

Strategy and commercial analysis

• Conduct market, competitor, and destination benchmarking; analyze visitor profiles, behavior, demand, preferences, and trends.
• Support strategic reviews, planning, and management analysis; develop business cases, feasibility assessments, financial models, and commercial evaluations.
• Assess commercial opportunities, assumptions, risks, and returns using market, operational, and financial information.

Revenue, retail, and business development

• Analyze revenue, pricing, transactions, demand, utilization, conversion, and commercial KPIs; identify performance drivers, seasonality, risks, and opportunities.
• Support demand and revenue forecasting and produce regular or ad hoc performance analysis with commercial implications.
• Analyze retail/leasing performance, tenant mix, rental benchmarks, opportunities, and leasing or business-development pipelines.
• Benchmark operators, tenants, concepts, and competing developments and support commercial discussions.

Analytics and reporting

• Consolidate, clean, validate, and reconcile data from multiple business sources; build structured datasets and analytical models for recurring reporting.
• Develop and maintain management dashboards using Power BI or equivalent; use Power Query, DAX, and related tools to improve and automate reporting.
• Maintain metric definitions, assumptions, and data-quality controls; prepare executive dashboards, reports, and presentations.
• Track KPIs, initiatives, and performance against targets; turn analysis into conclusions, implications, and recommended actions.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Real Estate, Tourism/Hospitality, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in destination/tourism development, real estate, hospitality, commercial strategy, consulting, revenue management, FP&A, business analytics, or a similar analytical environment.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is advantageous; destination, tourism, hospitality, mixed-use development, retail, commercial real estate, or consulting backgrounds are preferred.

Technical skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling; strong Power BI, including Power Query, data modelling, and DAX.
• Strong PowerPoint and executive presentation capability; experience with business cases, forecasting, scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Understanding of revenue drivers, pricing, NPV, IRR, payback, and break-even analysis; strong market research and benchmarking capability.
• SQL is preferred. Exposure to Python, VBA, Power Automate, or similar reporting automation tools is advantageous.

• Commercially minded, hands-on analyst able to work across strategy, finance, commercial performance, and data analytics.
• Demonstrates structured problem-solving, analytical thinking, attention to detail, data accuracy, and confidence working with incomplete or fragmented information.
• Communicates complex analysis clearly to non-technical stakeholders and manages multiple analytical priorities with ownership, curiosity, and initiative.
